| I highly recommend this book to young ski racers and their parents. My 13 year old first year J3 son read PRIME SKI RACING this winter and it seemed made a significant difference in his both his skiing, his race results, and his ability to enjoy the ski racing season right to the very end. Granted, he also has great coaches. I feel the book also helped him approach the manner in which he prepared for his races in a more oragnized and methodical manner. Apparently, though, PRIME SKI RACING is not just for young racers, as Dr. Taylor has had success even with the big boys (and girls) at the World Cup level. Furthermore PRIME SKI RACING is logical and easy to read. Some of Dr. Taylor's ideas made such good sense that I found myself saying, "Gee, I could have thought of that." It was also obvious that just about everything that Dr. Taylor wrote about the mental approach to ski racing, could also be applied to not just other sports, but to just about any other endeavor in life. I gather Dr. Taylor has written similar books about the mental approach to business and child rearing. I am going to check them out. |
