What a perfect gift to give! They raved about all the information, tips, funny humor, and great maps that were at their finger tips. The book provided information on more than just the general tourist spots. Best of all they will have the book for lasting memories of the adventures they took and more adventures to be had in the future. |

Not All The Information Is Up To Date |
| My wife and I bought this book to help us on our honeymoon. Although some parts of the book give local insights, others are simply out-dated. For example, on our way back from the volcano, we stopped at what was supposed to be one of the best ice cream places on the island only to find that it went out of business long ago. We found that probably 10%-20% of the information was no longer timely, which was a significant enough amount that we never really knew whether to trust the book. In the end, I would rate the book as just "okay." It has a lot of information about the Big Island, more information than you'll find in the generic Hawaii books. But use it as a guide rather than gospel since some of the information may be out of date. |
